The Valley of the Shadow of Death

Black is the night
that came upon me suddenly;
on bended knees I
hide my face from the storm.

The valley surrounds me,
the lush green grass disappears
into the darkness; it's the
blackest of black I've ever know.

Sightless, pressing my body
against the earth; silently
knowing God is with me,
I wait with a trusting heart.

And then the storm passed,
the darkness was only for a moment -
I rise and see dimly, the
dawning of a glorious new day.

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preseve me from trouble. Psalms 32:7

For the LORD will be your everlasting light. Isaiah 60:20
