"Forgive, do not despise,"

Christ my Savior said,

As He hung on Calvary's Cross,

Blood dripping from His head.

"Forgive, do not despise,"

Christ my Savior said.

"It's you I love without regret,

Though I suffered in your stead."

"Now I ask the same of you,

Without hesitation or blame,

Reach out your hand with loving-kindness

To the ones who have caused you pain.

Let them know the love I bestow,

To those who call My name."
